About

Meet Dr Christine Nyabuto

Dr Christine Nyabuto is a plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon in Nairobi, Kenya. She loves cosmetic surgery, keeps training in microsurgery and cares deeply about women affected by FGM.

She believes good care starts with listening. She takes time to understand what you want, explains things in plain language and never rushes you into a decision.

Approach to care

Taking each person seriously

For Dr Christine, good surgery starts long before the operating theatre. It starts with understanding the person in front of her: what worries them, what they hope for and what they need to feel safe.

  • Time to explain your goals and ask your questions, without pressure to proceed.
  • Honest discussion of suitability, limitations, risks, recovery and costs before any decision.
  • Respect for your choices, including the choice of another approach, or no procedure at all.
  • Referral to, or collaboration with, other specialists where that serves you better.
